As Vitaminstore’s lead agency in China, WebshopinChina has set up the online store and executes their China digital strategy.

Vitaminstore is one of Holland’s most trusted manufacturers and distributors of vitamins, minerals, and nutritional supplements. Under the Vitaminstore brand, the company operates a chain of 28 owned and franchised physical store locations throughout The Netherlands, and has an online sales channel via vitaminstore.nl’s web store. Every year over 200.000 consumers find their way to either one of the stores or the web store.

Challenge

We have designed and build the brand’s online store on JD Worldwide, including suggestions for product selection, pricing, bundled sales and product title optimization. Since the launch in the summer of 2016, we have been responsible for the operational management of the store; Chinese customer service, orders processing, client reviews, shop updates, monitoring and reporting.

Our Chinese business analysts are experienced in analyzing and improving store performance. Marketing and promotion is essential for the success of Vitaminstore, since the brand was relatively unknown when it entered the market. Therefore, we have created a tailored marketing and promotion plan based on the positioning, target group and budget. This plan comprises of a set of marketing tools on the JD platform, as well as Baidu and social media channels like WeChat and Sina Weibo. Due to these efforts the brand recognition of Vitaminstore in China is increasing.

Solution

The product range of Vitaminstore is popular amongst Chinese consumers. They prefer vitamins and nutritional supplements from Western brands due to the quality and safety. However, some major competitors have already entered the Chinese online market and competition is fierce. Vitaminstore has asked WebshopinChina to set up their e-commerce in China, increase brand awareness and gain market share.

Merison is an international housewares company with four key categories: kitchen, tabletop, outdoor and barbecue. Merison focuses on licensing brands, such as ELLE and Jamie Oliver, and they design, develop and sell these brands in over 30 countries across the globe.
