The Chinese Dream.

As mentioned in our previous newsletter we have been selected as the Chairman of the Expert Group China-Ecommerce 2017 initiated by Shopping Tomorrow. And after an exciting month it was finally time for the pitching companies to acquire a place in the China bootcamp program.

Out of the 6 companies, two will be selected for the China bootcamp program. This program will help the selected companies with one thing: to follow their dream to sell their products in the Chinese e-commerce market. The jury consist of 15 China experts, and the contestants only task is to make a lasting impression on these experts and to be selected for the China bootcamp.

Our very own managing partner, Angela Tabak, gave the signal for kick-off and assured the contestants by stating the following “It will not be like Idols, none of the contestant will be put on the spot”. This immediately created the right atmosphere for a day that is about finding the right company to start selling their product in China.

The 6 competing companies and/ or their representatives were Joris Derksen, founding partner of Drs. Leenarts, Sander van Veldhoven representative of FlowerForce, Ridder Drost, founder of Liquido d’Oro, Annuska Toebast founder of nOeser, Maarten van Asbeck from FLAVA drinks and Jaap Oskam and Peter van Mullem representatives of the Van Gogh museum.

While every participant made very strong cases, we are happy to announce that the winners of the pitch are: nOeser and the Van Gogh museum.

We at WebshopinChina would like to congratulate these two winners and are confident they will do extremely well in the China bootcamp.
